Device Setup

1. Initialize Setup Mode

For your safety, the ring uses a generic connection name to remain inconspicuous.

Press the ring button 5 times rapidly.

Confirm the Triple-Pulse vibration.

On your phone, scan for Wi-Fi networks and connect to "HP-Setup-38-OfficeJet-XXXXXX".

The last 6 digits of the network name (XXXXXX) is your Device ID.

Privacy First: The ring mimics a printer Wi-Fi network (HP-Setup...) to remain inconspicuous in your settings.

Only the registered device ID may update contact data. All writes are validated server-side.

Integrated SIM7080G modem sends SMS alerts even if your phone is missing or dead.

Attaches a Google Maps link to every emergency alert with 2.5m accuracy.
